Results in Holding Pattern in Race 5 of the 2011 F1000 Pro Series

JR Osborne who looked set to take his third victory of the season instead found himself having to wait 3 weeks to get confirmation of his win after third place finisher Nicholas Belling filed a protest against Osborne’s use of fuel.

The field took the split start from the from of the main national group under cold, cloudy skies and ran nearly incident free only two minor cautions for incidents from cars in other classes. Osborne lead away from the start leaving N.Belling and Oberndorf to mix it up for second followed closely by Mark Belling, Lucian Pancea, John LaBrie, and Dave Palmer.

JR Osborne Takes Victory in Race 4 at Buttonwillow

JR Osborne overcame adversity to to win Race 4 of the 2011 F1000 Pro Series sponsored by Goodyear Racing Tires, Williams Racing Developments, and George Dean Racing Engines, with partner sponsors Hyperco, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Ballistic Performance Components, Elizabeth Jackson Artwork and Geartronics North America.

Osborne who looked for a time to be done for the weekend after crashing out in yesterday’s race after getting tagged by another competitor made a stellar comeback to win convincingly over second place finisher Dave Palmer.

The morning qualifying session saw Osborne take pole position from Nicholas Belling by just over a second. John LaBrie vastly improved his times over yesterday's qualifying to finish third fastest with a time of 1:49.591, followed closely by Dave Palmer clocking a best time of 1:49.649 and Mark Belling with a 1:51.045.

Nicholas Belling takes Victory at Buttonwillow in Race 3

Nicholas Belling of Langley, BC, Canada took victory honors in Race 3 of the 2011 F1000 Pro Series sponsored by Goodyear Racing Tires, Williams Racing Developments, and George Dean Racing Engines, with partner sponsors Hyperco, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Ballistic Performance Components, Elizabeth Jackson Artwork and Geartronics North America.

Amongst the drivers participating this weekend include Thunderhill winners JR Osborne and Dave Palmer in their Stohr F1000 race cars. Alongside them is John LaBrie in the lone Phoenix being supported this weekend by Phoenix designer Dustin Wright, with the Firman West team of Nicholas and Mark Belling along with Terry Biner and Rod Morley making up the Firman contingent However late Friday Rod Morley was forced to withdraw from the weekend due to illness.
