Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, California (April 29, 2012) – JR Osborne broke F1000 track records in winning Race 4 of the 2012 F1000 Pro Series presented by Hoosier Racing Tires, Hyperco, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Kool Coat, and Elizabeth Jackson Artwork.

JR Osborne, leading from flag-to-flag was untouchable as took the hat-trick of pole position, race win, and fastest lap as he smashed the Laguna Seca track record with a blistering time of 1:23.330. His only mis-step of the day was a bobble in turn six late in the race. He quickly recovered to go on to a commanding win.

Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, California (March 11, 2012) – Nicholas Woodman found himself the surprise victor in Race 3 of the 2012 F1000 Pro Series presented by Hoosier Racing Tires, Hyperco, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Kool Coat, and Elizabeth Jackson Artwork after race winner JR Osborne was penalized during post-race impound for sound.

Laguna Seca Raceway maintains a 103db sound requirement for F1000 with both the SCCA and county of Monterey maintaining a sound meter near the exit of turn five to enforce the requirement. Supposedly sometime near the end of the event the meters apparently picked up JR Osborne's F1000 as it went by at a level exceeding the 103db level. Up to that point Osborne had lead the event handily and appeared to be on his way to an easy victory.

Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, California (March 11, 2012) – JR Osborne cruised to an easy victory in race two of the 2012 F1000 Pro Series presented by Hoosier Racing Tires, Hyperco, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Kool Coat, and Elizabeth Jackson Artwork.

After losing the win and being dropped down the finishing order in race one for a minor wing infraction JR Osborne went out in qualifying for race two setting a blistering time and a new track qualifying record of 1:39.905. The rest of the F1000 started in the same positions as in race one with Lucian Pancea repeating his performance from the day before garnishing second overall fastest time at 1:42.082. Corey Smith rounded out the top three at 1:43.723, with Terry Biner fourth with a time of 1:47.569, John LaBrie still nursing his sick engine back in fifth with a 1:56.893 and Herman Pahls also suffering from engine woes sixth fastest with a time of 2:29.544.

Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, California (March 11, 2012) - Lucian Pancea found himself the surprise winner in the season opening race of the 2012 F1000 Pro Series after first place finisher JR Osborne was penalized after the race when his front wing was found to be 1 centimeter too wide.

Osborne who started from pole and dominated the race throughout looked completely untouchable as his nearest rival Pancea suffered from a foggy visor which hampered his vision.

The East Coast Formula 1000 Championship and the West Coast F1000 Pro Series have announced plans for an East-West Shootout between their respective series at the Formula 1000 Championship Series race weekend at Mid-Ohio, August 3-5, 2012.

This event, one of the largest on the Mid-Ohio calendar, should bring the best F1000 drivers in the country together at one event with the top drivers from the East and the West competing against each other on the same track. The event will serve as points paying races on both series championship calendars.

The F1000 Pro Series has released it's race schedule for 2012. The schedule currently calls for eight races over four weekends and includes the already released date at Mid-Ohio with Indy Car and ALMS where drivers from both the West Coast F1000 Pro Series and the East Coast F1000 Championship will compete together at the same event.

The F1000 Pro Series in 2012 will continue to support SCCA national participation numbers for FB by running the majority of it's event in conjunction with SCCA nationals. This will allow drivers entered in the series to not only compete in the F1000 Pro Series of events but also obtain needed race starts to qualify for the SCCA national runoffs. As a result of driver feedback the F1000 Pro Series has also added to the series in 2012 a double race event at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California.

Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele, Utah - (August 7, 2011) Dave Palmer of Portland, Oregon, driving for Stohr Cars has won the 2011 F1000 Pro Series Driver's Championship. Palmer, who competed in every event on the 10-race schedule in 2011 clinched the championship with 67 total points. His victory in the season opening race at Thunderhill along with his two 2nd place finishes at Buttonwillow helped propel him to a 9 point lead in the overall standings. Palmer also took 3rd place in Race 2 at Thunderhill and in Race 7 at Portland to round out his podium finishes in 2011.
